Faux Leather, Bad Leopard and WTF is going on?
Guys, what is actually going on? I feel such a sense of nervous energy taking over my entire body? It’s the strangest thing, I just feel straight up antsy! One minute I want to dance on tables and the next I’m so tired that the thought of dancing on a table is so FAR FROM being a reality that it’s almost strange that it was previously in any thought of mine. I don’t know what it is but, I’m hoping once all of these eclipses and mercury being out of whack are resolved, this feeling will fade off fast. On another very important note; I did not sleep ONE MINUTE LAST NIGHT. I was up reading random nonsense until 5:45am when my eyes finally decided to cooperate with me and shut. I was such a zombie this morning, I felt like a housewife who overdosed on her pinot grigio and pain pills from the night before, I was FOGGY to say the least. I wasn’t even pretending that making it to yoga was an option. Usually I will get up and do the teeth brushing and face washing thing and stumble around for a bit and THEN head back to bed, but today was just simply a “Nope”, not moving. FEAR NOT THO- I’m going today at 4:30, the carb intake this week was REAL (and delicious).
Let’s talk leather and leopard, ya? I always do that, it’s so annoying. I say Ya at the end of every question I ask to hopefully ensure that yes will be a person’s response? Usually you ask a question and wait for whatever natural response emerges from somebody’s mouth, but NOT ME! A gift I do have and the point of this post is that I have a very strong ability to detect cheap looking clothing. I am not somebody that is ever in something that is questionably cheap looking. I actually pride myself on wearing beautiful things. Make no mistake, I am not speaking about expensive clothing, although most of my clothing is expensive which is not something I’m going to apologize for. But the truth is, the price point of clothing is irrelevant, it’s all about how expensive things appear, how they look and how they feel and most importantly how they fit.
The Two main things that can go horribly wrong are leather and leopard. Bad, cheap looking leather that looks like you can clean your toilet with it is something that should be avoided at all costs. Leather with patchwork in the arms ( unless it’s Balmain) very rarely looks like a yummy jacket, it’s just not made the same way. I would really avoid all detailed leather unless it’s upward of $800. Personally if that is not in your price range, I would go the Raw/vegan route and buy faux leather. Something that looks great and doesn’t look like it could help change your carburetor is the route I would take if you’re shopping on a budget. On to leopard- LEOPARD IS ANIMAL OK- Meaning there is an actual living, breathing, mammal walking around as an example of what leopard is supposed to look like! So why do people think it’s ok to make/buy black and white leopard? Or even worse COLORED LEOPARD?! And don’t say snow leopard, you know what I mean, the type of leopard that would be on your 1980’s notebook. Nothing looks worse or more outdated than a horrendous animal print- so let’s keep that in mind. Spots should never be mini they should always mimic the real thing as much as possible. A good way to help with choosing animal prints is to always opt for a velvet option NOT A FELT ONE. You don’t want to look like you’re wearing the same material that a golf course is made out of. I feel that this is relatively easy, clothes don’t need to be expensive, they just need to look it.
